QotD: En Route
What is your daily commute like? What is the weirdest thing you've seen on that commute?

My morning commute is two street 5 turns and I'm at the daycare. Another right, straight, another left and I'm at work. All in all we're talking 3 miles.
However, people in my neighborhood do not watch before crossing the street. These people are lucky to be alive because when it's dark or when the sun is shinning directly in your eyes you cannot see them. There are plenty of times I've had to make screeching halts because either I almost hit them or the person in front of me breaked quick and swerved to miss them. I've heard numerous people from out of town tell me if they did that in their town...they'd be dead. I guess our pedestrians are lucky.
