Things on Thanksgiving
It’s almost Thanksgiving! I suppose I should blog about things I’m thankful for…oh and the fact that I did miss Things On Tuesday, again, so this should make up for it. However, in honor of Thanksgiving, there will be no “hates” or negatives.
- I’m thankful for my Husband. Sure he ticks me off sometimes but he lets me get away with a lot of crap too. We do pretty well for being in this crazy time of our lives with a young son, young careers, and small bank account. All things that crash a lot of marriages these days.
- I’m thankful for my son. He’s crazy, three, and a lot of work, but sometimes all it takes is his smile and I’m just fine. He makes me realize what’s important in life.
- I’m thankful for my friends. Kristin and Sheri, you guys rock. Even 2,500 miles away you’re the best friends I could ever have.
- I’m thankful for my house. Sure, it’s crumbling in some places but at least it’s mine and we’re not foreclosing.
- I’m thankful for my job. In a crazy world where people are laid off daily I have security in knowing my job is safe right now. I also have a great part time deal I could take advantage of if need be. I’m thankful for security. Yes, two in one.
- I’m thankful for my health. It’s not 100% but it’s a lot better than it has been in almost 10 years. KNOCK ON WOOD.
- I’m thankful for turkeys. They make me happy. I laugh at them when they’re alive (how could you not? They have a waddle!) and I eat them when they are dead. Such wonderful creatures.
- I’m thankful for God. OK, so perhaps he should have been first on my list but this isn’t really in order.
- I’m thankful for VOX. I get to vent without getting into trouble. At least, so far.
- Finally, I’m thankful for my family, both Mike’s and my own. It could all be a lot worse and 99.9% of the time they’re all pretty awesome.
