Christmas Story

Mike got my Christmas present last night. He was so excited he couldn't contain himself and HAD to give it to me last night. Nathan told me it was a puppy and I laughed. We aren't going to leave a puppy in the car until Christmas. I put Nathan to bed as Mike got the present out of the car. I totally thought he had gotten a Wii. I’ve wanted one forever and I knew Mike would be excited and want to play it right away if he had bought it.

I came into the living room and Mike made me look for it...of course. So I'm looking all around the living room when I remember Nathan had told me it was a puppy. I started looking for a stuffed animal. Low and behold, there's a puppy in the Christmas tree...from Helzberg Jewelers. Inside the puppy's messenger bag was a ring. IT'S GOREGOUS! He got me a white gold ring with 3 amazing sapphires. They are so dark and clear it's amazing. On the side of the sapphires are diamonds. It took my breath away it's so beautiful. He said the 3 sapphires are supposed to be for our past, present, and forever...cheesy but cute. He said they also represent the fact that Nathan is 3 right now...so it's from both of them :) I didn't wear it today because it's too big for my pinkies and small for all the others. We're going to resize it when we get home from Christmas.

He told me about all the time he spent picking out the perfect jewelry piece and how many different items he looked at. It was all lovey dovey, then he said...in classic Mike fashion "I figured we'd been married for 5 years and I haven't really gotten you any jewelry, so what the heck." What a romantic? Such a male.

Needless to say, I'm still on cloud nine. I just wish I could wear it. :) He done good.
