If you could live anywhere in the world for a year, where would you go?
I've always been interested in Spain or Australia. I'm thinking I'd push more for Australia since I can speak the language better :) However, all the world's deadliest snakes, spiders, and so on live in Australia. I might want to visit Spain instead. I can speak the main words pretty well and I understand a fair amount of what I hear and read.
My niece might be moving to Australia in a year or so. I'm guessing that will make the perfect situation to have to visit out there. Mua ha ha ha!
What's your favorite thing about Monday?
Nothing. Monday sucks. Amen.
Yesterday was the first day of the Chinese New Year. The Chinese year 4707 is the year of the ox. What's your Chinese zodiac animal and what does it say about you?
I'm a dog. Supposedly this year is going to be one of patience. I can already tell that. Apparently, work is going to be very time consuming and I won't get any credit until the END of the year. That I can deal with. Also, my husband and I are apparently going to be at odds a lot of the time but we will make it though (um, alright).
Sounds like a great year!
What's the most complicated part of your life right now?
I saw this and wanted to start bawling. You know what though...I'm not sure much about my life is complicated. Just very stressful.
I've been MIA around here lately and it's mostly because what I'm going through isn't really blogging material. It isn't really something I can put into words.
The husband and I have made the decision that we're ready to have another baby, should it happen. I'm not taking my temps and calculating days till I ovulate but I might not have to. I have this strange feeling I'm already pregnant. First time out the gate and BAM. Problem is, I can't test until end of the week and expect an accurate result. So, I wait. Driving myself insane. You know what will be really bad? If I'm not pregnant. Because I know I will drive myself insane every month until it happens.
Lucky for me there are moments in the day where I can just fade away into other thoughts. Work is especially good for that right now. I'm busy. Mostly because all the other departments are not. This is when I become useful. Process improvements are best done during the non-busy moments. It keeps me free from my baby obsessed thoughts for at least an hour, sometimes more at a time.
Then there is always my books. I've become an avid reader in the past month. I've devoured Twilight, New Moon, Eclipse, and now Breaking Dawn in weeks. It isn't that they are so wonderful. Sure they're good, but not the best ever. However, they keep the thinking at bay for sometimes HOURS at a time if Nathan will let me read that long. I don't know what I'm going to do once I'm done with the last book. Maybe some of the laundry that has gone unnoticed or the dishes piled in the sink. ::sigh:: party will be over.
Oh well. I can wait a few more days until the test will take. Hopefully then I'll have the motivation to really get the house in order and get crap accomplished. I also hope that I'll be able to take whatever the result is and keep going instead of doing this to myself over and over and over.
Do you believe that employee loyalty still exists in today's work environment? How loyal are you as an employee to your company or boss?

My QotD was changed a little but it makes does make more sense now.
I was asked this question in a meeting yesterday. Not about myself but about our corporate culture. I don't think I've really worked anywhere that the people were so happy about their job, excited to go to work, and promoted the products on their off time. This is what people seem to be wishing we had and I was just wondering if that really exists? Neighborhood, what's your take?
What, if anything, is not okay to joke about?
Rape.
No matter what George Carlin said. Didn't he do a whole skit on that? I think I tuned out.
It's just not funny. No. Matter. What.
What was the best date you went on in high school?
I had a total of 4 boyfriends while I was in high school. Three, I never went on a date with...we just pretty much hung out with friends. One we went on one date with some friends...where he proceeded to give my my first kiss and we made out the entire movie. I now feel bad for my friends, but at the time I was stoked. (Hell, I'm not friends with them anymore...who cares!) The other date actually happened when we broke up. He came to visit (obviously he'd moved away but his mom still lived in town) and I ditched class to go bowling with him. That was fun. I guess it wins although I was scared to DEATH someone would turn us in for ditching (it was only 11:00am after all) and I'd have detention forever.
There were a few dances in between...but they didn't count since I spent the night talking to friends rather then slow dancing with my dates (who were mostly not romantic interests).
So much for high school dating. Yuck. I did much better after high school with the dudes.
What's your New Year's resolution for 2009? How did you do with 2008's?
I want to lose weight this year. Yes, boring! Mike said we also need to make some new friends. I like that one better. Hopefully both will happen.
I believe in 2008 my resolution was to not make a resolution. I did very well with that :)
Openly keep, store away, or toss completely? What do you think should be done with past gifts from old flames after you've broken up and are with someone new?

This question implies my exes ever bought be anything. I did have a ring that an ex used my money to purchase and give to me. I sold it at a garage sale for $5. It might have been worth $40 when he bought it, I've seen it on ebay for about that much. However, it wasn't worth a dime.
See, this is why when I met my husband I pounced. It's hard to find a good dude.
What are your favorite Thanksgiving traditions? Anything you're not so fond of?
My favorite tradition would have to be the turkey. I looooove me some Thanksgiving turkey.
I am not fond of the belly ache I get after all that turkey however. No, not fond of it at all.
