Woot!

Change of plans! We're flying out to see my family this year and we leave TUESDAY! I won't be back until January 5th. That's right, I get a 2 week vacation.

Life is WONDERFUL. One more work day and I can spend my holiday in peace. I really need a break from work. I'm starting to get burned out and I have been very negative lately. I need some space to just remember that it's just work, not personal, and time to take a step back.

Nathan had his first Christmas play today. He was a shepard and had actual speaking roles. He did very well. I was so proud of him and I can't believe how big he has gotten. Such a great kid I have :)

Two more days and I will be in sunny Laughlin, Nevada with my family. Mike, Nate and I are all taking a plane and going to see my mom and dad. Both my sisters will also be there and my 2 nieces I haven’t seen in a year! So excited! I miss them! Only thing cooler would be if my best friends came out to see me…it’s alright though. I will see them another time. If they came out this time, it would be very hard to make everyone happy and my sister is kinda weird about “sharing” her time with me.

It’s about 30 degrees here, which makes it even better that I’m leaving. I need some extra light and warm before winter sets in. YIKES! It’s raining and very…well grey. The leaves have fallen and Fall has lost its luster.

Coolest thing to happen to me in a while happened today. I brought in the things I’m selling on Etsy.com so my friend who does photography could play with them and hopefully get some awesome pictures of them that I can put on the site. Well, someone saw them and asked if I would make them a scarf for winter! Woot! I’ve been commissioned! I’m going to make her a cream scarf on my knitting loom so it’s extra thick. I’m only charging her $8 which should pay for the yarn and leave about $3 for my time but that’s alright. You gotta spend some money to get your name out there I guess. LOL. It’s just fun to be commissioned. J

I’ve also had 3 really GREAT parties in the last week so I’m looking at making an extra $500 just in the last 2 weeks from lia sophia. So excited! I’m hoping it keeps going so I can make my sales requirements to get kits for free when the new catalog comes out. I’m looking that that’s going to happen!

$$CHRISTMAS MONEY$$

I am happy to say my much needed break is close at hand. Next weekend (the one after this one coming up) I'm going to Arizona for my cousin's wedding reception. I have to say I'm very very thankful! Mike and Nate are staying home (I'll keep my anger to a slow boil and not rehash the story right now) and I'm going by myself. I think this will be a good move even if I wish Mike were coming too. My mom said something about it being good to see me alone for a few days. I have a tendency to make sure Mike is alright all the time when we're around my family. This way I don't have to worry about anything but having fun.

Fun is a good idea as I've been feeling mighty drained and depressed lately.

Also, I'm taking a good two weeks from lia sophia parties after tonight. It just sorta happened that way and I'm a little happy about it. I have so much fun doing them but right now work is so busy it's hard to calm down from one and go straight into another. Not to mention I need some time to organize my office!

Well, time to get little man ready for daycare and me ready for work!
